Our target
The website is designed and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
How the pages are built
- Each page has a single main heading, with sub-headings in a logical order for screen-reader navigation.
- A “skip to main content” link comes first, and the navigation areas are labelled.
- Keyboard focus is always visible, with a high-contrast outline.
- Text colours meet WCAG contrast ratios. The bright aqua of the brand appears as lines and on dark panels, never as text on white.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap comfortably.
- The enquiry forms have visible labels and hints, a summary of anything that needs fixing, and error messages tied to each field.
- Tables can be scrolled with the keyboard on small screens.
- Content is written as text in plain English rather than embedded in images.
- Animation is minimal and respects the reduced-motion setting on your device.
Automated accessibility tests run on every page at desktop and phone widths each time the website is built. A manual check with a keyboard and a screen reader is part of the launch checklist.
Known limitations
Some documents we link to, such as guideline PDFs published by other organisations, may not meet the same standard. If one is hard to use, contact us and we will help you get the information another way.
Help in other languages
